Mary Louise Simmonds, 80, of Douglasville, passed away on June 19, 2022. She was born on January 29, 1942. She is the daughter of the late L.K. Malone and the late Mary Louise Granville.
She was a very loving, giving, selfless woman who was a faithful servant of Christ. She loved the Lord fiercely and was a member of Golden Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and taking care of others.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Stan Simmonds; son Darrell James King; brother, Eldrin Malone; sister, Lessie Boyd. Survivors include her daughters, Paula Austin of Villa Rica, Georgia, Cheryl Ann Crenshaw of Douglasville, Georgia; sons Gary Austin of Hobbs, New Mexico, Merritt Austin of Boise, Idaho; several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. The family will have a memorial inurnment service on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.

Condolences to the family. Louise was my sister-in-law and we spent quite a bit of time together when she lived in CT. Her life was not a bed of roses, but I don’t remember her complaining. She and I were very happy when Jesus caught up with her. His grace is sufficient.
