Obituary for Jonathon Donald Whatley

Mr. Jonathon Donald Whatley, age 37, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born January 25, 1983 in Lithia Springs, Georgia, the son of Myrtis Sue Fleming Whatley and the late Jimmy Donald Whatley. He graduated from Lithia Springs High School, Class of 2002. He was very involved with the Douglas County Special Olympics. Mr. Whatley worked for over 10 years as a courtesy clerk for Publix.
Mr. Whatley is survived by his mother, Myrtis Sue Fleming Whatley of Douglasville; his sisters and brothers-in-laws, Jennifer Whatley-Thompson and Joe Thompson of Douglasville and Darlene Whatley and John Waldron of Peachtree City; nieces and nephews, Bryant, Mackenzie, Jacob and Mallory; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. Memorial services will be conducted in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 11:00AM with Pastor Toby Stephens officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring to do so, may make donations In Memory of Jonathon Donald Whatley to the Douglas County Special Olympics, c/o Julie Smith, Treasurer, 1900 Sherry Way, Douglasville, Georgia 30135.
