Elaine you have been a great daughter to your father and I know he loved you and appreciated every moment of your efforts in his behalf. In particular your care for him in his last days. It put that little smile on his face as he enters the Pearly Gates. Your blessing is that he lived a long full life.

Prayers and sympathy go out to your family. My parents (Jerrill and Mary Jo Garner) attended church with Herman at Utopia. He was a comfort to my dad after mama passed in 2006. They often talked on the phone checking in on each other during the years they haven’t been able to go to church. Daddy will miss their conversations. He wanted to attend the funeral services but was not able to. Our prayers to all the family.

As a friend of Elaine’s, I was fortunate to have met Mr. Tyson a couple of times. I will always remember his smile and kindness. May his soul Rest In Peace. Sending love and prayers to Elaine and family during this sad and difficult time.

I have SO many fond memories of Herman Tyson. From cow pasture golf to ” hitting the creek”, which Herman could do a backflip, to riding the dirt roads in his Jeep or getting the scare of my life from the airplane ride we took with his pilot friend at Carrollton. Herman once put on his pole climbing gear, which he used at Georgia Power, to climb an oak tree to tie a rope with a feed bag attached to use as a swing much like a Tarzan vine. I could go on about my memories but I would like Elaine to know how much Herman loved her and he always expressed his concerns about her wellbeing and as one of Herman’s coworkers told me, “Boy that Herman is sure proud of that girl of his.” We will all miss him. Sincere condolence, your Cuz, Tony Tyson

Herman was a great friend to our family. He rode motorcycle and went on trips with Leonard and they had great time together. I’m sure they are now together in heaven planning more adventures.
