Henrietta Kilgore is a very special lady and friend of ours since 1980. We moved from Indiana and joined Prays Mill Baptist Church. Henrietta and her family were faithful members and our children were involved and friends. My daughter and her son sang in a youth ensemble. Her daughter was a children’s director and my sons participated in activities with her. A wonderful seamstress, Henrietta made the bridesmaids and flower girl dresses for Robin and Guy’s wedding. She also made her daughter’s wedding gown when she got married. A person of many gifts, she and her husband, Ronnie, helped us start Heritage Baptist Church. She.remained a member till her death. She worked in the office at Heritage and was a past director of The Good Samaritan Center. Ministering to people was a passion of hers. More recently, we became closer because she was a part of our Beacon Family at the Benton House. My husband; a former pastor of Henrietta’s, was a resident of the Beacon. Both he and I were able to spend many precious hours with her. Enjoyed visitation time and weekly choir practice with her husband, sisters, and brother, and children and grandchildren. Later, window visits and phone conversations with family after we were “quarantined” in March. Henrietta was loved by other residents and staff and her presence is very much missed. She is totally healed and with her Lord now.
