Francis Allen McPeek went to his eternal home on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Southwest Christian Care. He was born on November 1, 1937 at Scranton Pennsylvania Hospital. He is the son of Robert and Vergie McPeek.
Francis worked for Michigan Bell Telephone company in New Jersey for many years, until May 14, 1977 when he married the love of his life, Miriam (Strength) McPeek and together they moved to Atlanta, Georgia where Francis took a job with Lockheed Martin until his retirement in 2002.
Francis was a faithful employee, husband, and father. Even more importantly, he was faithful to His Lord Jesus Christ. He had a love for the Bible, the Gospel, and Worship music and Francis also loved to give to those who were in need. Over the years Francis enjoyed the outdoors with his wife Miriam, where he loved gardening, riding his tractor and horseback riding.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Denise McPeek, a sister Leona Vonwald and a brother Harold McPeek. Surviving are his wife Miriam McPeek, his sons: Robert McPeek and wife Christine McPeek, William McCue and wife Mary McCue, Daniel McCue and wife Janet McCue, Stephen McCue and Wife Carol McCue, Timothy McCue and wife Daneise McCue. Daughters: Lynn Luna and husband Luis Luna, Lorraine Hester and husband Bill Hester, Candice Korpi and husband John Korpi, twenty grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A home going celebration for Francis will be held at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica.
