Rab, Kristy, Savannah, April and all the family and those who know and love dearest Betty. As JESUS said in the Bible of those who had died, even many centuries, like Moses, “they are not dead, but living!” “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” For believers, the Bible encourages us that when we die, we shall immediately be, “absent from the body, present with the LORD.” What hope, what joy to envision beautiful, energetic, firecracker soul, Betty, dancing in the arms of JESUS, with her loved ones clapping to the heavenly choir’s ethereal music. I can see, especially, Prince Charming, Monty, welcoming his precious mother in his warm embrace. As the Bible says when the saints died, like Abraham, Sarah, etc. “he/she died, and was gathered to their people.” This is a weeping, wailing, sad day for us on earth to feel the great loss of Betty’s vibrant personality and deep, deep love gone from our physical presence. But, there are many, many, delightful, rich memories of Betty to comfort and bring a smile to us for our lifetime. I am forever grateful that God put her into my life and I still zing with joy over her humor, very quick and alive and feisty spirit and I still giggle remembering all the laughter she brought. My heart is grateful to Betty and and Rab for their compassionate love and generosity. Many years ago, when they were busy with work and Kristy was about 6 and Monty just a baby, they opened their warm, cozy home and invited our two sons, David and Jonathan and myself to live with them for a short while during a difficult transitional time in our lives. We are so looking forward to being reunited with Betty, and with our Lord Jesus Christ, and all of you in heaven. May “the God of all comfort,” comfort you. “Our Hod is a very present help in trouble.” “JESUS wept,” and He’s weeping with you, and we are too. Love and prayers, Betty and Rick Vair We are weeping with you.
