Obituary for Polly Ingram

Mrs. Alpha Mae “Polly” Cobb Ingram, age 77, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at her daughter’s residence. She was born April 26, 1936 in Wardell County, Missouri the daughter of the late Albert Cobb and the late Mrs. Josie Waldrop Cobb. She was devoted to her family and spent her life taking care of the home and family. In her later years, she worked as an associate at Wal-Mart where she retired. She was a member of Lithia Springs Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Alex Brett Powell; and siblings, James Dean Cobb, Bobby Gene Cobb, Leon East, Albert East, Delene Smith, Elvie Christopher, Eulene Ginn, Wayne Cobb, Minnie Royal, and Chester Dennis. She is survived by her husband, Doyal A. Ingram of Lithia Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Greg Elton of Douglasville; siblings, Maudine Burdett of Mableton, Florine Bearden of Weaver, Alabama, Linda Lockridge of Piedmont, Alabama, Ray Cobb of Hogansville, Gay Cobb of Newnan, Lamerle Mcvay of Jasper, Alabama, Julie Parton of Talladega, and Deane Bates of Sylvania, Alabama; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, November 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Lithia Springs Church of God with Pastor Chris Taylor officiating. Mrs. Ingram will lie in state at the church from 12 Noon until the 1:00 PM funeral hour. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
