Mrs. Martha Mae Ford French, age 85, of Douglasville passed away, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Mrs. French was born July 23, 1923 in Pell City, Alabama, the daughter of the late Mr. James Mark Ford Sr. and Mrs. Mandie Mae McCormick. She was a homemaker and a member of the Douglasville Church of Christ. Mrs. French enjoyed sewing, quilting and was loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws; Jamie E. French and Paula of Newnan and Steve and Brenda French of Douglasville; two sisters, Betty Jo Wimpie of Southside Alabama, and Marciene Grizzle of Ragland, Alabama; one brother, Jack Ford of Ragland, Alabama, grandchildren; Gayle French Butler, Brooke French, Neal Williamson, and Wesley French, great grandchildren; Amanda McIntyre, Jonah Butler, Lucas French and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Noon from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Minister Doug Ford officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Monday, March 23, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
