Mr. Clinton G. Boyd, age 80, of S. Carroll Road, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. A native of Villa Rica, Georgia, he was born August 23, 1929 the son of the late Mr. Roy C. Boyd and the late Mrs. Bessie Marie Garst Boyd. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked as a truck driver for over 32 years for Kroger. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Villa Rica.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Madaline Ragsdale Boyd.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul Christopher “Chris” and Gina Reeves of Oxford, AL; 4 grandchildren, Johnathan Boyd, Shane Reeves, Toney Reeves and Nick Reeves; one great-granddaughter, Tianna Reeves; his aunt, Luvie Boyd of Villa Rica; several cousin, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Neal Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
