Mr. Douglas Neil Abercrombie, age 51, of Wedowee, Alabama, formerly of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama.
He was born August 12, 1958 in Douglasville, Georgia, the son of Mr. Roy Abercrombie and Mrs. Annie McDearis Abercrombie. Mr. Abercrombie enjoyed spending time networking on Facebook and was a Harley Davison motorcycle enthusiast. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his parents, Roy and Annie Abercrombie of Wedowee, Alabama; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Lloyd Miller of Wedowee, Alabama; Donna Kopic of Roswell, Kathy and Joe Norsworthy of Jackson and Teresa and Hugh Brown of Douglasville; his brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Lisa Abercrombie of Douglasville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Bryant, Chris Prather, Buddy Miller, Brad Sibley, Chris Shore and Richie Jordan.
Interment will follow at the Douglasville City Cemetery in Douglasville, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM.
