Mrs. Lola Faye Bouchard, age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Atlanta Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born July 28, 1942 in Georgetown, South Carolina the daughter of the late Mr. J.W. Roberts and the late Mrs. Lola Onese Perry Roberts. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Douglasville where she sang in the choir. She worked as a school bus monitor for the Douglas County School Systems for over 12 years. She enjoyed traveling. She loved children and was a caregiver to many children over the years. She loved to cook and serve meals to family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as “Memere”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Benoit Bouchard and siblings, Barbara Lee, Carolyn Bennett, Shelby Leberknight, Patsy Bath, David Roberts, Jackie Adams and Jim Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Keith Buterbaugh of Douglasville and Tessia and Tony Perkey of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Dee Bouchard of Lithia Springs; siblings, Dorothy Roberts, Peggy Goins, Jimmy Dale Etheridge, Mary Pirt, Sandra Hensley, and Sonny Roberts; and Memere to 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 5:00 PM from the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3099 Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville with Pastor Michael Bovingdon officiating. Inurnment and graveside service will be conducted Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM from Rosehaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
