Mrs. Susan Lewis Gantt, age 57, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on September 19, 2009 at her residence. She was born September 17, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia to Mr. Marvin Lewis and Mrs. Frances Durham Lewis. She was employed by Crystal Springs Water working in account services. Mrs. Gantt was a loving mother who was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her cats, Kit and Natasha.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Mr. Joseph Peoples Gantt of Douglasville; her daughter, Barbara Taylor Gantt of Douglasville; her son, Derek Lewis Gantt, of Kanazawa, Japan; her parents, Marvin and Frances Lewis of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Michael Lay of Douglasville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Celebrant Glenn Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
